Due to an overflow of trivia feeds and research, we have decided to make a full section about Xenogears Trivias. We have also included names of the people behind the game, like the singer who did the vocals of "Small of Two pieces", etc.

Multiple Personality Disorder -- Fei's problem
Trivia from: Nutz
Trivia:
Fei's multiple personalities might sound a bit too far-fetched for the lot of you, but in actuality, it's a psychological true case. This disorder is best described as "the existence within one person two or more distinct personalities, each with his own life history and patterns of behavior". Citan Uzuki wasn't joking around when he explained Fei's personality to Bart.

Most of these true-to-life cases root from childhood wherein the patient has experienced sever physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. Overwhelming trauma from abuse may trigger amnesia as a barrier to seal off the traumatic experience from consciousness. As the abusive incidents recur over time and are constantly pushed off away from the consciousness, these dissassociated painful memories become linked by common emotions (oftentimes hate and anger) and eventually form the basis for the separate personalities. Believe it or not, 0.1% of America's population suffer from this abnormality.

The Name "Id"
Trivia from: Nutz
Id Trivia:
Ever wondered what Id meant? Id, in the world of Psychology, is one of the 3 key subsystems that lies within a human's personality. The other 2 are ego and the superego, but we'll not discuss about them now (hey, if you want me to explain about these two, then just mail me).
The Id contains the innate, primitive, biological drives of man such as hunger, thirst and aggresion. These drives are basically of two types,
(1) constructive drives
(2) destructive drives and aggressive urges

The first type provides energy for the libido, while the second type tends toward
self-destruction and death. Thus, "Id" is man's basic instinct to seek gratification either by construction, or destruction. Controlling Id is the ego, backed up by the superego (otherwise known as the conscience). Since there was a splitting in Fei's personality, his ego and superego was detached from his Id, cancelling out any control over it whatsoever. Fei's Id, existing within a personality of its own, can now fully exhibit itself without censure.

Nanomachines and Nanotechnology
Trivia from: Nutz
Trivia:
The word "nanotechnology" has become very popular and is used to describe many types of research where the characteristic dimensions are less than about 1,000 nanometers. In Krelian's works, it mostly dealt with the manipulation of cells in their smallest form. You see, cells are composed of atoms.
Krelian
Manufactured products are made from atoms. The properties of those products depend on how those atoms are arranged. If we rearrange the atoms in coal we can make diamond. If we rearrange the atoms in sand (and add a few other trace elements) we can make computer chips. If we rearrange the atoms in dirt, water and air we can make potatoes. These arranged atoms (artificial, in a sense) have the capacity to self-replicate (just like any cell), and thus form a "colony" which in turn forms the whole of the manufactured "being". Nanotechnology have, in our time, reached outstanding results, but is nothing to what Krelian did in the Xenogears.
Additional Trivia from: Lejya
Trivia:
Nano machines are actually machines that are small enough to work at a cellular level.

The 3 Wisemen (MAGIS)
Trivia from: Alessandro de Frede

Taura

Trivia:
Have you noticed that the names of the three sages Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar are the names of the "Magi Kings"? These were, in the catholic tradition, three oriental kings, who had an incredible knowledge of astronomy .
Observing the passage of a comet of incredible beauty and rarity they foretold an exceptional event for the humankind. They followed the comet until they came to Christ Child and offered to "the king of the kings" gold, incense and myrrh. The episode is not related in the canonical gospels, but in the apocryphal ones. In Italy, the tradition says the Magi arrived to Jesus on 6th January. Thanks Alessandro for the info!

What's with the opening phrase "I am Alpha and Omega..."?
Trivia from: Nutz
Trivia:
This phrase was perfectly taken from the Christian Bible, specifically in the Revelations book, Chapter 1, verse 8. This book was written by St. John during that time when Christians were being persecuted because of their faith. The phrase, according to St. John's articles, came from God himself.
